Science, stories,
and the wonder
in between

I’m Dr Leila Battison: a science communicator, producer, and writer with a PhD in Earth Sciences from Oxford and a career built on making science feel urgent, human, and alive.

I’ve produced and directed for the BBC, Netflix, Amazon Prime, National Geographic, Discovery, and Curiosity Stream — and I spent time as a researcher at NASA’s exobiology institute before deciding I preferred telling science stories to generating them.

Now I run Something Incredible on YouTube, co-host the Science Baby podcast, and am writing a book. I’m based on the south coast of England, and when I’m not working, I’m collecting rocks, reading, or raising a curious small human.
